I began service with Northern Constabulary in March 1994 in Thurso. I was transferred to Dornoch in 1999 and served there until being promoted to Sergeant in 2000, transferring to the Lairg/Bonar Bridge section in north west Sutherland. I returned to serve in Caithness from 2002 until transferring to my current station in Alness in early 2009.

I joined the Joint Branch Board in 2009 as the Sergeant's representative for Central Division.
